After lunch, we were sitting around with my family chatting and I let Sophia crawl on the table (I know, horrible mother). She crawled to the fruit bowl and helped herself to an overly ripe banana. That's when all the fun began...

New Discoveries

Her Tongue:

She frequently sticks out her tongue during meal times and play time. When I stick out my tongue in return, she is fascinated and tries to grab it.

Her Thumb:

She has started sucking on her thumb a little. Not often- her Nuk is still #1.

"So big!" or "All done!"

She occasionally throws up her arms to show us how big she is! She also does this when she is done eating though, so in this case it may mean "All done."

Daddy's XBox:

Sophia has become a proficient crawler now and can get any and everywhere she wants to go. She finds the most interesting things now that she can actually reach them. One of her favorites is Daddy's XBox controller.

Her Legs:

A common sight after nap time these days. She can pull herself up on things.

"Rescue me, Mama!"

Drawers:

She is intrigued by drawers ever since she figured out how to open them this week. Time to Sophie-proof the house!

Baby Boat

We got Sophia a baby floaty. Jared quickly turned it into a speed boat (of course). She LOVES it and has SO MUCH FUN with Daddy.

Zoo Time!

Sophia had her first trip to the zoo this week! We packed up a picnic lunch on Thursday and headed to Como Zoo for a fun family day. Our first stop was a carousel ride, which Sophia loved! There was so much to look at as the world whizzed around in circles. After the ride, we visited flamingos, monkeys, zebras, seals, and fish. Then we ran for the car because storm clouds were threatening. We ate our picnic lunch in the car, and as we ate, rain started pounding the windshield. Whew! We were safe, dry, and well fed. We headed home for nap time.
